HOLIDAYS WITH POTTERY

A holiday package with a Pottery theme has been developed by POTTERY LAB by Stagkidis. Those who are interested will have the opportunity to combine their love of ceramics with vacations in Northern Greece, pleasure with knowledge.

Our aim is to provide those who are interested with a programme of ceramic art training while also introducing them to the paths of experimental ceramics, where they will be taught, studied, and experimented with the ancient ceramics techniques and customs of its people during the Neolithic and Classical periods in Greece through experiential stimuli. Along with the specific training curriculum, one-day excursions are integrated with guided tours of Northern Greek archaeological sites and stunning natural and historical settings.

The trainees will be guided through every step of this exquisite journey of art, knowledge, and history by the skilled potter Ioannis Stagidis. By conducting research and making contributions, he has built a conventional and experimental laboratory dedicated to the altar of ceramics. His main focus is the transmission of his 40 years of knowledge about ceramics from the Neolithic to the contemporary day as well as the preservation of the art of ceramics/pottery in the modern era by attracting more and more new individuals.

The workshops are held in Paliabella Pieria, a small, hospitable natural village in Northern Greece. The accommodation is provided in association with a Bed & Breakfast hotel in a nearby village, just a short drive from the studio.
